Eurocom Officially Closes Despite Planned Restructuring

As if the Holiday spirit wasn’t already active within us all, the brutality of the video game industry has hit once again as yet another studio is shuttering.  After announcing their plans to focus on mobile titles in the wake of firing 150 staff members, Eurocom have announced that the studio will cease operations entirely and close up shop.

Eurocom (007 Legends) Issues Major Layoffs and Changes Company Focus

The video game industry has not been a gentle beast to yet another development studio which has been forced to issue massive layoffs and shift its focus as a company in an attempt to stay alive.  Today U.K. based developer Eurocom announced that it will be shedding the majority of it’s staff and focusing on mobile efforts in the future due to the continued economic shifts and lackluster performances from their last few titles.

007 Legends Reveals Two Additional Bond Films (They're Not Classic At All)

I can feel myself getting excited as each day passes since we’re getting closer and closer to the release of Skyfall, the new 007 movie.  It may still be two whole months before I can see James Bond return on the big screen, but after waiting four years for such a thing to happen I don’t have a problem waiting for a few weeks to pass.  The release of the new James Bond film will of course be accompanied by a video game which in this case is 007 Legends, the 007 mash-up game which pays homage to the series through retelling classic 007 films with a modern edge.

Latest 007 Legends Trailer Shows Off On Her Majesty's Secret Service Mission

At long last Activision has released the second trailer for 007 Legends, the new James Bond game which sees five classic Bond films updated to fit the Daniel Craig era Bond.  The reason this new trailer for the game is worth noting is because it gives us our first look at the mission based upon On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, a Bond film that many fans consider to be one of the best ever released.

007 Legends Preview [E3 2012]

2012 could be one of best years for the suave spy that is James Bond since we’re not only getting the third Bond film starring Daniel Craig but we’re also receiving 007 Legends, the latest Bond video game which takes classic era Bond and has it retrofitted to fit today’s modern sensibilities.

A Classic James Bond Film Is Set To Be Featured In 007 Legends

So far the concept of 007 Legends has a decent number of people interested in the project but learning that Moonraker was the first of five movies to be retold in the project left a lot of us scratching our heads. Among the many classic James Bond films that have been released the only list that Moonraker deserves to be on is those that rank the worst Bond films or the ones whose potential was never reached.

WB Announces Harry Potter Kinect (No This Isn't A Joke)

With the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 it seemed like the Harry Potter franchise had come to a complete close in just about every regard.  The tales of Harry Potter were obviously over as creator J.K. Rowling had vowed against writing future Potter books but even more it seemed like the video game entries in the Harry Potter franchise were done as well.

007 Legends First Stage May Be A Surprise [Video]

Today is like Christmas for James Bond fans as we not only have the debut trailer for Skyfall, the next James Bond movie, but our first look at the next 007 video game as well. Announced by Activision a few weeks ago, 007 Legends is a special release of sorts meant to celebrate the 50th anniversary of 007 as it features seven classic 007 stories retold and woven together into a presumably cohesive experience.

The 50th Anniversary Of James Bond Is Celebrated In 007 Legends, The New James Bond Video Game

2012 is a special year for James Bond as not only will it bring filmgoers the 23rd installment in the franchise, but it also marks the 50th anniversary of James Bond’s debut.  It was nearly half a century ago that Ian Fleming created James Bond and gave us a character that has manage to adapt and remain relevant despite the ever changing times that have passed.  Being the iconic character that he is, special plans are in place to celebrate James Bond hitting the 50th mark and that includes a new 007 video game.

Activision Preps A Special GoldenEye: Reloaded Bundle For The PS3

Once again we’re getting a James Bond video game but there isn’t a whole lot of fanfare for it since it’s a mere HD port of an existing game. In a way gamers should still be excited that the recent Goldeneye remake is coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 but personally I would’ve preferred an original James Bond such as the one Raven Software was formerly working on. But c’est la vie and having played a bit of GoldenEye 007: Reloaded I’m slightly warming up to the concept of spending some time with a James Bond FPS once more.
