James Bond May No Longer Be With Activision

The most dangerous foe of James Bond may have at long last been defeated in a somewhat unexpected way.  I’m not referring to longstanding 007 villains such as Blofeld or even new entities like Silva as I’m instead referring to Activision - the company which for the last six years has wasted the James Bond franchise.

The Most Iconic Bond Film Of All Time Joins 007 Legends

We’re getting closer and closer to the release of Skyfall, the newest James Bond movie, and Activision has finally revealed the final film set to be included in 007 Legends. To no real surprise, the fifth and final classic Bond film bound to be retold in 007 Legends is none other than the all-time classic that is Goldfinger.

007 Legends Reveals Two Additional Bond Films (They're Not Classic At All)

I can feel myself getting excited as each day passes since we’re getting closer and closer to the release of Skyfall, the new 007 movie.  It may still be two whole months before I can see James Bond return on the big screen, but after waiting four years for such a thing to happen I don’t have a problem waiting for a few weeks to pass.  The release of the new James Bond film will of course be accompanied by a video game which in this case is 007 Legends, the 007 mash-up game which pays homage to the series through retelling classic 007 films with a modern edge.

Latest 007 Legends Trailer Shows Off On Her Majesty's Secret Service Mission

At long last Activision has released the second trailer for 007 Legends, the new James Bond game which sees five classic Bond films updated to fit the Daniel Craig era Bond.  The reason this new trailer for the game is worth noting is because it gives us our first look at the mission based upon On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, a Bond film that many fans consider to be one of the best ever released.

007 Legends Preview [E3 2012]

2012 could be one of best years for the suave spy that is James Bond since we’re not only getting the third Bond film starring Daniel Craig but we’re also receiving 007 Legends, the latest Bond video game which takes classic era Bond and has it retrofitted to fit today’s modern sensibilities.

The 50th Anniversary Of James Bond Is Celebrated In 007 Legends, The New James Bond Video Game

2012 is a special year for James Bond as not only will it bring filmgoers the 23rd installment in the franchise, but it also marks the 50th anniversary of James Bond’s debut.  It was nearly half a century ago that Ian Fleming created James Bond and gave us a character that has manage to adapt and remain relevant despite the ever changing times that have passed.  Being the iconic character that he is, special plans are in place to celebrate James Bond hitting the 50th mark and that includes a new 007 video game.

See What GoldenEye 007: Reloaded's HD Sheen Looks Like In This Premier Trailer

Yesterday we got an early reveal for GoldenEye 007: Reloaded for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and today Activision has officially revealed all the goodies the HD remake will offer.  Aside from offering the same experience that Wii gamers had the privilege of playing last year, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded will include several new MI6 Ops Missions that will entail 007 engaging in missions that require specific tasks to be completed.

Images Surface For GoldenEye: Reloaded, The HD Port Of A Remake

With the San Diego Comic kicking off later this week we have an early reveal of sorts as Activision has let the cat out of the bag: GoldenEye is coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360. As a series of domain registrations hinted at, Activision will be releasing a HD port of GoldenEye dubbed GoldenEye: Reloaded for the Xbox 360 and the PS3, with the latter receiving PlayStation Move support.

James Bond's Latest Mission Is Almost Ready To Be Revealed

The latest adventure of James Bond will be shown to us very soon, as in it’s going to go public in two weeks. After skipping E3 (I can attest to this since Activision wasn’t showing it behind closed doors), James Bond will be making a splash at the San Diego Comic Con just like he did last year when James Bond: Blood Stone was shown.

Yet Another GoldenEye Game May Be Coming Out, This Time Possibly For The HD Consoles

Last year Activision did something that made some people happy and infuriated others: they released a new version of GoldenEye.  Far from being a modern day update of the classic Nintendo 64 game, Activision’s GoldenEye release (which was exclusive to the Wii) was a complete reboot of the GoldenEye plot complete with new scenarios and levels being created along with the more modern twists that were also thrown in.  For what it was GoldenEye was a solid James Bond game but the whole Wii only thing irked a lot of people, even if GoldenEye’s history is tied with the N64.
