Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Fus-Ro-Duh! Skyrim DLC On The Way

Well Bethesda hinted at it yesterday and here we are today; Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be getting long awaited downloadable content this summer at least for Xbox 360 user.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hands-on [PAX Prime 2011]

Considering it’s easily one of the most hyped games at the show this year, I made it a personal point to make sure that Skyrim was my first appointment of the first day. There have been a few opportunities to see the game, including the recent 30 minute walk-through that was performed by one Todd Howard during Gamecom just last week. So what’s different between that and what’s being shown at PAX Prime?

Fist-Bump or Bitch-Slap: Ian Fisher or Valve

This is the love/hate relationship between the video game industry and myself. Every week I will pick someone who gets my Fist-bump for doing a good deed, someone who gets my undesirable Bitch-Slap for doing something wrong (or just something that pisses me off), and I'll share my experience/opinion along the way.

Bethesda Releases Their First Official Skyrim Gameplay Trailer

Killing dragons sounds fun, but slicing them in mid-air and watching them crash into the face of a mountain sounds better. Today Bethesda released their first official gameplay trailer for the new Elder Scrolls game, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Needless to say the side effects of this video will result in a nerdgasm. Yes it is that good. Not just because it's awesome, but because we also see some veil hints of new additions to combat in the game. Beside the new combat animations, which look awesome by the way, there were multiple things we can pull from this new trailer.

Elder Scrolls 5 New Menu Details Emerge

A couple of days ago Bethesda showed off their new Elder Scrolls menu revamp to Game Informer. Yes we all know menus are the most essential part to any RPG since you need some way to go through your inventory, stats, quest logs, world maps, city maps, and mini maps. The menus are more important in RPG's than they are in any other gaming genre. I'm thinking you've never thought about it till right now? Am I right? Of course I am.

ShogunGamer's Most Anticipated Games of 2011

Well everyone 2011 is here which means new games are right around the corner. I know some of the good ones are already out. Dead Space 2, Mass Effect 2 for the PS3, LittlebigPlanet 2, so on and so much to talk about! But there are still so many more games to look forward to this year we thought it would be good for, not just us, but you too, if we wrote a most anticipated article for you to read. I mean why not this year is going to be a great year for games! Hell it sure can be worse than last years three good games we got.

Brink, RAGE, Skyrim and Hunted Receive Official Release Dates

You know, it’s funny how life works out sometime. Just last night I was having a bit of a debate with a friend about the release date of Brink. There was some talk around if an official date had actually been put forward, from the information I had I didn't think that there was a firm date. Waking up this morning though, I found that Bethesda and fired over a press release announcing the dates for their four top titles of the year: Hunted: The Demon’s Forge, RAGE, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and of course Brink.

Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim's new engine details emerge

The upcoming addition to the Elder Scrolls franchise is going to feature Bethesda's greatest graphics engine yet. But does that mean that the engine is going to be any good at all? Bethesda's Tom Howard spoke to Game Informer about their newest graphics engine and it seems like they are adding in some features that Fantasy RPG nerds (like myself) will enjoy immensely.

Elder Scrolls 5 details released through Game Informer

The newest addition of Gameinformer released today containing some fresh gameplay details that have not been shared to the public before. Skyrm's story is set 200 years after the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and the world of Tamriel is ruined. The empire has fallen to the elves, the Blades are gone, the Nords hate each other, and a civil war is bound to erupt any second. Oh, and I almost forgot, that big dragon the Elder Scrolls prophesied about? Yeah, he's arrived also to cause some mayhem.
