EA Sports MMA

EA Sports MMA is back in action with this new trailer

Given my recent mood as of late, it’s rather nice to see dudes pummel and kick one another in this new EA Sports MMA trailer. Lately EA’s venture into the world of MMA has been restricted to simple screenshot updates so it’s rather nice to see the game in motion again.

New EA Sports MMA screens showing new fighters and venues

Amidst all of the GDC happenings and various games being shown EA has released some new images of EA Sports MMA.  Unlike the last batch of screens that only featured MMA fighter Bobby Lashley, this new crop of screens shows a diverse range of fighters including Nick Diaz.

EA sets their release schedule for the next year

Last week was THQ’s turn to boast about their financial earnings and today it was Electronic Arts’ turn.  Overall earnings for the company were ok (they only lost a measly $82 million) but most gamers could care less about things concerning percentages and millions of dollars earned/lost as most simply care about when the games are coming out.

New EA Sports MMA screens

Last year was a stellar year for the sport of MMA as it continued to grow in the mainstream and the release of THQ’s UFC Undisputed 2009 was a key defining moment as well since it legitimized the sport in the world of video games. THQ and developer Yukes put out one hell of a game but now they have some competition with Electronic Art’s aptly named EA Sports MMA.

Premier trailer for EA Sports MMA

As promised last night’s Strikeforce event on CBS showed us our first look at EA Sports MMA, a game that has slowly been drawing up hype after the first image was shown over a week ago.  The trailer was a bit on the short side but it did a job of getting the point across that it could be a contender at dethroning THQ’s UFC Undisputed game as the king of MMA games.

Randy Couture joins EA Sports MMA

Today the battle between Electronic Arts and the UFC/THQ got more heated as it was announced that UFC legend Randy “The Natural” Couture would be co-headlining EA’s upcoming EA Sports MMA. Randy will be accompanying the beast that is Fedor Emelianenko as the cover athletes for the game.
