Dishonored

Best of PAX Prime 2012

First of all, before the merriment of an award ceremony (in text format) I want to offer a quick apology for our readership. This year’s PAX Prime information will be coming to you a day (or rather a couple of days late) due to an unhealthy amount of poor planning on our part, in conjunction with some rather unfortunate circumstances…

Dishonored Hands-on [PAX Prime 2012]

Bethesda has a history of turning out some of the best story-driven video games. Every once in a while they combine that passion for story-telling with an action-oriented video game and offer us the best of both worlds.

From the first trailer, it became obvious that Dishonored was going to be one of those projects where Bethesda tries, again, for the ‘complete package’ type of video game; providing its fans with the ability to progress through a deep, original story, while providing a smooth, satisfying gaming experience.

TL;DR - July 30 - Preorders, Durango, E3

It’s been a while… but I think the recent resurrection of my previous ‘passion project’, Why You Should Care, brought me back around to the idea of restarting my other ‘claim to fame’: TL;DR. As some of you may remember, it’s an opportunity for Shogun to catch up on some of the smaller stories of the day and provide you with the news you need, when the items themselves weren’t particularly large enough for a full ‘feature’.

Dishonored E3 Impressions: One of the best games at E3.

One of the games I was personally excited to check out was Dishonored, a brand new IP that is currently under development at Arkane Studios.

In the game you’ll assume the first person role of Corvo Atano, a bodyguard who is seeking revenge against Lord Regent who framed him for the Assassination of the Empress he was sworn to protect.

Along with a slew of Victorian steam punk style weapons, Corvo also possesses great supernatural powers and gadgets... a crap load of them.

Dishonored Gameplay Trailer Has Arrived

Continuing with their pre-E3 trend, Bethesda has released a gameplay trailer for their upcoming supernatural assassin game.

The more and more I see of Dishonored, the more I wish October would get here. While it certainly wasn't as pretty as the original cinematic, this gameplay gave us our first peak inside Dishonored's game mechanics.

Dishonored To Launch Before Holiday Rush

Today we got a release date for Arkane Studios’ Dishonored and it looks like they’ll be trying to get in ahead of an already packed November.

The supernatural assassin title will hit North American shelves on October 9th. The more I see of this title, the more I wish I could get my hands on it now. If Assassin’s Creed and steam punk hooked up and birthed some sort of demonic sex child... it would basically amount to Dishonored.

First Details On Dishonored Sound Promising

The FPS genre may get a nice boost of creativity with the impending release of Dishonored, the new game from developer Arkane Studios.  Earlier this week we received the first in-game image from the game which showed a glossy and stylized world which as of now appears to be devoid of mutants and or bald space marines.

First Screen Of Bethesda's New FPS Game Dishonored

E3 was a complete madhouse as it tends to be so it makes sense that Bethesda opted not to show their new IP Dishonored until now.  From Arkane Studios, Dishonored is yet another FPS game but there’s a twist as it’s a stealth action game that will heavily be focused around melee combat as opposed to eviscerating people with a machine gun.  The approach Arkane Studios and the general reputation the studio has (the team is being headed by Thief designer Harvey Smith) already has Dishonored being one of the most anticipated games of 2012, even though we haven’t seen a single video at
