The Whacky Brutality of Gotham City Impostors Is Shown In This New Trailer

Last month at E3 I played one game in particular that I had mixed feelings about but was hoping for the best: Gotham City Impostors.  A spin-off on the Batman franchise, Gotham City Impostors takes gamers out of the cape and cowl of Bruce Wayne as Batman and instead places them in the shoes of would be heroes and villains.  Taking the world of Batman and transporting it into a FPS environment that was devoid of the iconic characters associated with the series was interesting and could’ve been a nice departure from the typical licensed fair we see.

Batman: Arkham City May Receive DLC Episodes [Rumor]

WB Games and developer Rocksteady have been rather secretive about what Batman: Arkham City info is released.  Leaks have been rather minimal in a sense as only a few voice actors have slept up to reveal that they’re either acting in Batman’s latest adventure or actually revealed which character they would be portraying.  We have gotten a few hints here and there concerning possible scenarios or character appearances but what we can fully expect from Batman: Arkham City is a mystery that may even stump Batman himself.

Sony Reveals A Plethora Of New Uncharted Tie-In Products (Awesome News For Toy Collectors)

As if the San Diego Comic couldn’t become an even bigger show for video game news and general goodness, Sony has revealed several major Uncharted related products that will debut at the show this week. Aside from Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception being playable on the showfloor and an Uncharted panel with key talent from the game happening on Friday, Sony will be debuting several cool new Uncharted products with an array of partners ranging from collectible manufacturers and comic book companies.

We Finally Have A Look At The Batman: Arkham City Collector's Edition

Unearthed a few days ago via vague retailer listings, WB Games has officially revealed the collector’s edition for Batman: Arkham City. Since every major software release these days warrants a special SKU of some kind, WB Games is happy to oblige by giving gamers and comic book fans some additional Batman goodness that may or may not immediately be worth an additional $40.

Latest Batman: Arkham City Trailer Shows Us The Deadly Tricks Of The Riddler

As excited as I am for Batman: Arkham City I haven’t been too thrilled with the direction WB Games has taken with the media for the game thus far.  Give me some cool screenshots of Batman, Catwoman and Two-Face and I’m all good.  But releasing a series of ultra-stylized trailers with lyric based source music in the background just kind of irked me the wrong way.  Don’t get me wrong, I still think Batman: Arkham City is going to be an amazing game but I merely found the artistic direction that’s being taken with the advertising to be a bit weird.

Get Another Glimpse At Robin In Batman: Arkham City

We’ve yet to see Slim Shady… oops I mean Robin in action yet via Batman: Arkham City but we do have a small update on him.  As to when WB Games and Rocksteady plan on unveiling Robin to the public is still a mystery (perhaps a showing at the San Diego Comic Con is on the cards) but we at least have a piece of colored concept art for the character as well as what Rocksteady’s inspiration was for the character’s new bulked up design.

Batman: Arkham City Euro Box Art Looks Good In Its Full Stoic Glory

Batman: Arkham City may be one of the most anticipated and promising video games to be released this year, but it also had some of the most disappointing box art designs to be seen from a triple-A game.  In fact as good as the videos for Batman: Arkham City may be the promotional materials for the game have been a bit underwhelming.

The Boy Wonder Is Confirmed To Appear In Batman: Arkham City

The character roster for Batman: Arkham City is officially going to get larger for better or worse as the Dark Knight’s sidekick will join in on the action. After rumors have swirled around for months and a reported Best Buy advert leaked the info, Rocksteady has confirmed that Robin will be a playable character in Batman: Arkham City.

WB Games Announces The Double-Whammy Surprise That Is Gotham City Impostors

For some ungodly reason WB Games have decided to move forward with a new Batman game that is somehow a spin-off of sorts instead of being a proper adventure like Batman: Arkham City.  Hinted earlier this year in the form of some retail listings which soon led to several unique domain registrations, WB Games will be releasing Gotham City Impostors this year on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and PC.

Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters Gameplay Trailer Shows Promise

Chances are that this new footage from the Green Lantern game won’t immediately impress anyone.  I’m actually surprised that the game looks as solid as it does, at least compared to the upcoming Thor game, but we are know that video games based on movies = crap.  But maybe the power of the Green Lantern Corp. will be powerful enough to construct a decent video game for fans of lantern wielding superhero to enjoy.
