Splash Damage Ready To Announce Their Next Project

The games industry hasn’t been too kind to certain U.K. development studios such as Eurocom, but others such as Splash Damage are still thriving on could be on the verge of the next big thing. After releasing the rather decisive and somewhat iffy FPS Brink, Splash Damage is ready to unveil it’s latest endeavor and of course it’s doing the now industry expected standard of announcing an announcement of an announcement.

[Updated] Brink Developer Working On Major Franchise, Possibly A Marvel Video Game (The Avengers)

Developer Splash Damage is following up the less than critically acclaimed FPS Brink with a new project that could turn the company around.  Most of us know that while it held incredible potential Brink just was kind of meh at the end of the day.  Nice art design aside, the issues of Brink laid in how the game played which really was all over the place and despite not being an obvious CoD clone the game just wasn’t good enough to keep the interest of gamers.  But where Brink failed, perhaps Splash Damage can succeed with a possible game based on The Avengers.

Fist-Bump or Bitch-Slap: WB Interactive Entertainment and Sucker Punch Productions

This is the love/hate relationship between the video game industry and myself. Every week I will pick someone who gets my Fist-bump for doing a good deed, someone who gets my undesirable Bitch-Slap for doing something wrong (or just something that pisses me off), and I'll share my experience/opinion along the way.

Brink Latest Game Title To Do Release Date Shuffle

Splash Damage's upcoming, shooter Brink is the latest title to reschedule its release date but unlike other titles such as Duke Nukem Forever and Dungeon Siege III, Brink will see an earlier release date rather than being pushed back.

The folks at Splash Damage have manage to finish production of the game earlier than expected and see fit to release the game a week early on May 10 in North America and May 13 for UK gamers instead of May 17 (NA) & May 20 (UK).

Brink, RAGE, Skyrim and Hunted Receive Official Release Dates

You know, it’s funny how life works out sometime. Just last night I was having a bit of a debate with a friend about the release date of Brink. There was some talk around if an official date had actually been put forward, from the information I had I didn't think that there was a firm date. Waking up this morning though, I found that Bethesda and fired over a press release announcing the dates for their four top titles of the year: Hunted: The Demon’s Forge, RAGE, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and of course Brink.

Latest Brink Trailer Introduces a 'Choir of Guns'

Incase anyone was wondering, Brink is still on its way. Determined to be one of the best of show at last year’s E3 for the Shogun Gamer staff, Brink is a beautiful love-child of Borderlands and Mirror’s Edge that I’ve been personally anticipating since it was first announced.

Brink Developer Video Diary #5: Minds on the Brink

Splash Damages releases the newest developer video diary for their upcoming shooter, Brink.

The new video mostly covers how Brink's development team is bringing gamers some of the most realistic gun sounds ever to a video game. Now not to nitpick but is this really that important. What percentage of actual gamers who play any game that has guns will be able to differentiate the sounds of an actual gun going off and some artifical special effect generated gun sounds?
