Overall Feeling:
Big Surf Island is a welcomed addition to the world of Burnout and has some of the most insane jumps in the game. The content you get for such a low price is a steal and for those who haven't played the game in a long time it certainly is the right time to jump back in.
The Pros:
The Mega Jumps in the game are some of the best in the series and the new races will keep people busy not only for the Trophies/Achievements but for the new license you can get.
The Cons:
Honestly there's nothing wrong with this DLC. Just minor things like it still being a tad difficult to drive at night and perhaps the AI being a bit too strong but those aren't game ruining issues.
When it comes to DLC for racing games the results can be a bit iffy. Usually gamers are lucky if they get a few new liveries and vehicles and it’s a godsend if new tracks are released. But one example of how to properly support a racing game through DLC lies with Criterion and what they’ve done with Burnout Paradise. After being on the market for over a year Criterion has continued to add content to Burnout that is actually worth it and isn’t just superficial.
