Since It "Needed" To Be Done The New Spider-Man and X-Men Games Are Receiving Hollywood Voice Talent

Since we all know that the results are always terrific, either in a good or bad sense, Activision has revealed that they’re employing the use of several notable actors for their upcoming crop of Marvel video games.  Even though the two Marvel games Activision is releasing this year aren’t based on movies, that isn’t stopping Activision from hiring some fanboy faves and somewhat down-on-their luck actors to portray a few notable heroes and villains.

Images Surface For GoldenEye: Reloaded, The HD Port Of A Remake

With the San Diego Comic kicking off later this week we have an early reveal of sorts as Activision has let the cat out of the bag: GoldenEye is coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360. As a series of domain registrations hinted at, Activision will be releasing a HD port of GoldenEye dubbed GoldenEye: Reloaded for the Xbox 360 and the PS3, with the latter receiving PlayStation Move support.

James Bond's Latest Mission Is Almost Ready To Be Revealed

The latest adventure of James Bond will be shown to us very soon, as in it’s going to go public in two weeks. After skipping E3 (I can attest to this since Activision wasn’t showing it behind closed doors), James Bond will be making a splash at the San Diego Comic Con just like he did last year when James Bond: Blood Stone was shown.

Combine Star Wars With Modern Warfare And You Get An Awesome Mod

PC game mods can be a beautiful thing since they often bring us stuff that either fixes the core game itself or provides an entirely new experience that someone out there wasn’t smart enough to capitalize on.  Say what you will about Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, but if the game has done one terrific thing that will forever be remembered it’s that it was able to bring us the vision of Star Wars: Galactic Warfare.

Yet Another GoldenEye Game May Be Coming Out, This Time Possibly For The HD Consoles

Last year Activision did something that made some people happy and infuriated others: they released a new version of GoldenEye.  Far from being a modern day update of the classic Nintendo 64 game, Activision’s GoldenEye release (which was exclusive to the Wii) was a complete reboot of the GoldenEye plot complete with new scenarios and levels being created along with the more modern twists that were also thrown in.  For what it was GoldenEye was a solid James Bond game but the whole Wii only thing irked a lot of people, even if GoldenEye’s history is tied with the N64.

X-Men: Destiny - Preview [E3 2011]

Amidst my many adventures during E3 (who am I kidding, I just walked around playing stuff and talked to people for three days), I saw a few games I totally didn’t expect to be at the show or made appointments for.  One such unexpected occurrence at E3 came to me via my appointment with Activision.  I honestly didn’t know what to expect from my Activision encounter at E3 but since I could choose what I wanted to see I opted to go with Modern Warfare 3 (more on that later) and Spider-Man: Edge of Time.

New Map Pack on the way for CoD... Again

I feel like it was just a few weeks ago that we reported the release of the Escalation map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops.

It was announced today that the Annihilation map pack will be available for download on the Xbox 360 in merely two weeks time. June 28 will mark yet another pack. Ugh, I’m exhausted by this already.

With four new multiplayer maps and one Zombie map, gamers will have their plates full.

Battlefield 3 vs. Modern Warfare 3 Is On [E3 2011]

The day has come for all first person shooter fans to witness the raise of a competitor for Activision’s Call of Duty franchise.

Kicking off E3 was gameplay from the forthcoming Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 3. Based in New York we watch a Navy Seal team invade a submarine. Almost mimicking their strategy from last year, CoD showcased new features in their single-player campaign with scuba diving. The only thing missing from this was Scuba Steve, am I right? Stylistically, MW3 was pretty, using dark tones to portray the onslaught in the heart of Americana.

Activision Formally Reveals Call of Duty: Elite (You Don't Need To Pay For Everything)

Late last night we got early word on Call of Duty: Elite, the new subscription based service that would be heavily featured in all COD games from here on out.  Activision may not be totally off their rocker just yet since playing the multiplayer modes in COD will remain free, the prospect of paying a monthly fee to receive new map packs or other features really hasn’t gone over well with gamers.

Early Details On Activision's Subscription Based Call of Duty Service

The day that gamers have been dreading has finally come to become a painstaking reality.  After learning that Activision was looking into an extensive online service for the Call of Duty franchise, specifically the initiative being headed by the COD Beachhead team, gamers wondered what sort of madness would be bestowed upon Call of Duty’s cherished multiplayer modes.  Well on the heels of E3, Activision has revealed a few early details on their new online initiative and I think the news may cause a revolt of sorts amongst the gaming masses.
