Tony Hawk plans on taking you for a Ride

When the first Tony Hawk game was released it was a massive hit that was the first game to really capture what skating is all about. The game then became a massive franchise that helped make skating more mainstream and acceptable. Like any good franchise each installment in the Tony Hawk series added new features and improved visuals that really improved the product and it’s widely regarded that Tony Hawk 3 is the pinnacle in the series.

First details on DJ Hero

Activision’s upcoming DJ Hero has been under a veil of secrecy with only a few rumors and a hint at what its turntable will look like being released so far. Thankfully score tracking site ScoreHero has the first info on DJ Hero from the upcoming Game Informer preview and the info certainly won’t disappoint those who have been waiting for the game.

First Modern Warfare 2 details

Game Informer announced yesterday that they would have have the exclusive first look at the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 and today some details from that issue have leaked from some subscribers who are lucky enough to have their issues already.

Since I don't have my issue yet and there isn't a properly detailed listing of most of the info I'll just be listing off the key points and giving some of my thoughts on them:

Modern Warfare 2 commercial

It seems like the industry is slowing ramping up for E3 already with a bevy of leaks and rumors hitting net in the recent days and now we're starting to get official media for some of the big games that will appear at the show next month. In a somewhat odd move Activision has aired the first commercial for the highly awaited Modern Warfare 2 during a NBA playoff game. The commercial is extremely short but it's the first time we've seen in the game in action and it doesn't seem to disappoint.

More robot action in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

The first Transformers film consisted of explosions, lame jokes, poor characterizations of the Transformers, hot Megan Fox scenes, poor directing and a lame story. Based on the recent trailers the sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, seems to be offering the same. That similiarity continues with the upcoming game adaptation as well.

Will the next Call of Duty game take place during the wars of the 60s?

It seems like the Call of Duty franchise will still be battling it out in wars of the past despite the upcoming release of Modern Warfare 2. According to That Videogame Blog Activison is licensing Cuban, Soviet Union, African and Vietnam Era music for what most likely is for an upcoming installment of the Call of Duty franchise.

Wolverine VS Gambit and other good stuff

The recent media for X-Men Origins: Wolverine has shown that the game could end up being flat out awesome. Impressive visuals, nice combat and a development team that seems to know what they're doing has inspired confidence in the gaming masses that continue to be let down by poor film games.

Guitar Hero Rocks Out in Home

While the gaming community is still unsure what to think about PlayStation Home, Sony and 3rd party developers are continuing to add new spaces and features in the hopes of giving users a reason to visit Home aside from doing the robot whilst listening to 50 Cent.
