2014 Retrospective

2014 Game Retrospective - Part 6

Thanks to all who joined us over the last couple of weeks as we fumbled our way through some of the high and low points of 2014. Of course now that we've talked about "the rest" we're going to need to get on with "the best."

Next Monday we'll be posting up our Game of the Year choices, as chosen by the ShogunGamer writing staff, broken down by category. Until then, a very Happy Holidays from your friends here at SG!

2014 Game Retrospective - Part 5

T'was the night before Christmas, and I couldn't think up a rhyme... No, seriously, it would be the obvious joke to make here: An intro in rhyme. I've never been good with that though, so let's just jump into the continuing recap of 2014 in the comedy stylings of myself and Jen.

2014 Game Retrospective - Part 4

Next week we'll be revealing our picks for Game of the Year, broken down by category and with one over-all winner. For now, we continue to count down some shining moments in gaming 2014, whilst wishing you all a very happy holidays!

2014 Game Retrospective - Part 3

Last week, under the shroud of a Skype call, Shogun Gamer staff began the process of narrowing down the best games of 2014. Thankfully due to an abundance of re-masters this past year, we were able to move through our deliberations with relative easy and speed.

Next week we'll unveil the full list and its winners, along with an accompanying podcast so you can hear for yourself how each call was made. For now, let's keep running down some of the big moments (possitive and negative) of 2014, shall we?

2014 Game Retrospective - Part 2

Welcome to day 2 of our continuing recap of 2014. The Shogun Gamer staff is hard at work putting together their list of favorites from this past year, but in the meantime Casey and I will continue to run down some of the best (and more likely, the worst) games, features, and trends of 2014 in gaming.

2014 Game Retrospective

While we start our internal debates on what the best (and worst) games of 2014 were, we thought it might be fun to also shine the light on some other games that might not make their way on to the GOTY discussion list... but still deserve a nod of some kind.

Over the next couple of weeks, leading up to our official Game of the Year Awards, we're going to be releasing a series of articles themed at noting some of the last years highlights and lowlights, hopefully with a bit of humor.
